You enter a dark wood-paneled room with green plush chairs and a roaring fire in a stone fireplace. There are arching windows overlooking a featureless sea at eternal sunset. Despite the fire and sun, there is a bone-deep cold here that still makes your fingers ache.
Please, have a seat, have a drink. Let me show you what I've been working on lately.
It is warm by the fire.
There are two doors here.
(I'm sorry I'm still trying to find the title of this one)
An old evil comes to a small town, and fifteen-year-old Cordia Wood finds that her only purpose in the world is vengeance. Coming from somewhere between "grief stricken" and "unfortunately what we call 'being a teenager'", this is a story almost ten years in the making that I finally feel able to tell. I'm currently working on a draft that is being workshopped by some of my wonderful writing friends, and the current thought is to publish it serially online when it's ready, just because I think that the episodic form it's taking lends itself to that, and I don't think I'm interested in traditional publishing.
When a young man goes missing under mysterious circumstances, his best friend Casey and his sister find that they're the only ones willing to look. Join us in 2026 for this podcast told through their phone calls and voicemails as they piece together what happened to Oliver.
This project is headed up by Kiersten Burtz, who was a frequent collaborator of mine when we were in college. I'm on the project as Production Manager, and am also helping with writing episodes and editing on top of all the usual production manager things.
Follow the Project HereThis is probably the thing I'm most excited about right now. It's the dream project. It's the got-my-foot-in-the-door-and-then-took-off-the-doorknob project. It's technically three in one!
Demon Hunters is an ongoing world from Zombie Orpheus Entertainment, and I've been a fan since like 2018 when I learned about this one. It's currently comprised of a couple feature length films, a handful of short films, I think there was a comic in there somewhere?, and, in my particuar wheelhouse up to this point: a tabletop roleplaying game.
I had a script I was working on in 2019 and into 2020 that was set in this world, and as you might imagine with that timing, it didn't go anywhere. So I've been sitting on film skills and hope for like five years at this point, and back in August, I finally got to be the right person in the right place at the right time. And now we're working on three short films.
This will be a simple powerpoint-style presentation of the tabletop rules. The current plan is to have a little bit of an in-universe flare, with a character from the world presenting the powerpoint. It's likely to just be me in front of a wall going through it, but it'll be short, simple, and to the point.
This is going to cover the same as the Runthrough, but with simulated play and character portrayals. Also a nebulous relationship to the canon. It might happen. It could happen. It's probably apocryphal though.
We're set to shoot this one at the end of March 2026, I'll actually be in it (as the same character I'm gonna do the regular runthrough as) and then I will be editing.
Dakota Sharpe, a detective within the Brotherhood of the Celestial Torch, gets into some trouble while conducting an internal investigation. This is a short fiction that we hope to expand into a longer series, and we're set to shoot this one in early April 2026. I'll be on camera on this one, and also edit it.
